Malory's 1st Birthday

Malory had to stay home from the sitter on her real first birthday...she woke up with pinkeye.  She has kind of been a mess lately and we hope she can get healthy.  She is a happy, mellow baby.  She started walking , or rather taking a few steps right around Thanksgiving and it didn't take long for her to figure out exactly what to do.  Malory eats everything we eat, likes to get into everything that her sisters don't want her near and has graduated from bottles.  We absolutely love her.

Maggie Basketball

Maggie played basketball again this winter season.  She loved it an learned a lot.  At this age they are now able to actually play defense, steal the ball and have fast breaks.  She scored in nearly every game and her confidence grew for sure.  She had a great coach this year which can make all the difference!

Malory's 1st birthday party

Despite being a little bit under the weather we celebrated Malory's first birthday party after Thanksgiving and it was a success!  We had a theme of a winter wonderland.  Chrissy helped me make some decorations to go along with the theme.

We warmed up with chili and celebrated with family.  Malory enjoyed her cake...a lot...her eyes lit up when she put the first fistful of frosting in her mouth.  She managed to get both Maggie and Molly in the face with frosting.

The gifts were a hit, more for the other kids than for Malory, but she did the best she could to get them opened up!

November 2015

Clearly I am behind so I will just do a quick November update with pictures and then post what I have for December so far.

We enjoyed some fall fun in the leaves in early November...

 Malory conquered 11 months...

We celebrated Thanksgiving (no pictures of that but had so much fun and as always, so thankful to be around family)...then, of course, we enjoyed Friday night Pizza Night at the Larson's...

Happy Halloween

It was wet...really wet, but we managed to squeeze in trick-or-treating and actually stayed pretty dry. It was a busy morning in the Voller household.  Andy's girls had their sectional race, Molly had gymnastics and Maggie had her first basketball game.  It also poured for nearly 12 hours straight which made for a pretty miserable morning.  To help pass the time we carved pumpkins while Malory took her afternoon nap.

The girls had been filled with anticipation all day.  It was hard to wait but they did and were ready when it was FINALLY time to get ready.  Because the weather wasn't great we dressed up Malory but she stayed in for the evening.  Shay and Derrick came over with the girls and my parents joined in the fun as well.

There was a little window where it actually wasn't raining so we put on our layers and they were off.  We made it all the way down to Chrissy and Dave's before Molly and Grace were ready to head back.  I kept going with Maggie and Lucas and Chrissy rejoined us after dropping off Layla.  We were in by 6, warmed up with chili and a fire and then relaxed for the rest of the evening!
Here they all are in the bee costume.

Fraidycat 5K and Meow Mile

This past weekend Maggie and Molly joined their two best buddies, Lucas and Layla, to run in a local race.  The fun thing about this race is you get to wear your Halloween costume! Molly and Layla watched Lucas and Maggie run the mile last year so when it was time to sign up this year they wanted to be part of the action.  I signed Molly up for the "Meow Mile."  Lucas and Maggie wanted to give the 5k a try this year.  Since the little ladies needed some supervision Chrissy and I ran behind them and then with them and then I found myself dragging Molly along for a little bit.  She smiled and cried and was VERY excited for the ribbon at the end and ran her mile in just about 11 minutes.  Andy and Dave took on the same roll with the big kids and ran along behind them for the 5k.  They did great!  Maggie finished in under 30 minutes.

Pumpkin Patch

We headed over to Keller's this weekend to pick up pumpkins.  We managed to make it there with the whole family.  The big girls were more concerned about getting more donuts so for the first time in a few years we actually opted to select pumpkins from the prepicked patch.  There were plenty there and we had pumpkins in just about five minutes.  This worked out for us this year and was probably the better option for Malory anyway!
