It has been quite a hot June. My friend Melissa invited the girls and I to join her and Grace at the Splash Park in Oswego. It is open to the the public for free and it opens early which is a good thing because when you get in your car at 8:30 in the morning and your car tells you it is already 85 degrees the only thing better than air conditioning is splashing around in cold water. The girls had fun splashing and spraying water, took some breaks and had a snack too. We were joined by Lucas and Layla along with their Grampa because my dear friend Chrissy had yet another day of summer work!

Father's Day
As usual we headed up to Cresco, Iowa for our annual Father's Day family gathering. Unfortunately we had to go without Andy because Marley was not at all acting like herself. I headed up on Friday with the girls and my mom...we made one quick stop for the bathroom, but it was otherwise a pretty noneventful trip. Molly was busy looking for all the farm animals and Maggie occupied herself. It was worth the trip to get to see both my Grandma and Grandpa as well as many other family members. We didn't waste anytime heading home on Sunday so we could get back to see Andy on Father's day...I made the 5 and a half hour drive myself with no stops!!! To my dad and the many other dads we know thank you for all the selfless acts you do and have done to make us who we are today. To Andy you are the best thank you from me and the girls for being your awesome self!!
The girls and I had an opportunity to go an visit my Grandma at the nursing home several times. She was so happy to see them and they were happy to eat the candy from her candy jar!

As tradition would have it we spend Saturday in Cresco with the Larson side of the family. Usually we make the Larson version of homemade pizzas, but it was extremely hot so we settled for the local favorite Mabes Pizza. It wasn't exactly the same but it was pizza and the better part of it that it was time spent with family!!
Happy Father's Day daddy!!

Bike Riding
One thing Maggie wanted to accomplish this summer before Kindergarten starts was to be able to ride her bike on her own. She is plenty tall to do this...in fact she can just put her feet down to stop, the key was being able to find the balance. She worked hard at it each night after our walk around the block...then one night...she got.
Check out the video...its classic America's Funniest Videos, but she was so proud!!

Summer is HERE!!!
Summer break has officially begun. We have made it to the pool, parks, and the backyard for swimming, splashing and outside fun. Today we were able to make our first trip of the summer to the zoo accompanied by none other than our best friends Chrissy, Lucas and Layla. Chrissy took more pics than me, but here are a the ones I got!
Molly is too quick and constantly on the go. We are looking forward to heading back to the zoo as this trip was cut short because I over booked the day. Like I said I hope to be better about updating this blog, especially since we plan on doing as much as we can while we have the time!

Continued fast forward...
May went fast and was really busy...so busy in fact I don't have any pictures...we had a great Mother's day and weekends were packed of family fun...by Memorial Day the weather was great and the girls finally had a chance to get out and enjoy the weather. Molly was so excited to finally get to use the water table Auntie Shay, Uncle Drock and Grace gave her for her birthday...
Yes we still have the baby pool and use it...Maggie loves it!

Molly's 2nd Birthday
I figured Molly's 2nd birthday should get its own post otherwise she will be headed right down that path of being the second child with fewer pictures and what not...she certainly deserves a post of her own!! I will have to go back and double check on her two year stats to add to this post. Molly is so full of life...very outgoing...pretty much the opposite of Maggie. She loves elephants so we had an elephant themed party which was scheduled around Andy's coaching. We were joined by family and the best of our friends who are our family, Chrissy, Lucas and Layla.

Fast Forward to Summer
Ok so I have been seriously lacking on the blogging lately...mostly because we need a new computer...if I try to open my blog the computer will usually freeze and I don't have any cool extra gadgets!! What I have decided to do is a quick update from January till now...then hopefully we will be able to get a new computer so things can be updated on a more regular basis...
